This annual Medical Grand Rounds lectureship focuses on the translational neuroscience of rare genetic diseases of the nervous system, and celebrates and honors the enduring legacy of Dr. Naidu and her career as a child neurologist and physician-scientist at Kennedy Krieger institute.  

 

The focus of this Lectureship is to focus on rare neurogenetic diseases and advances in translational neuroscience that will bring us closer to specific, disease modifying therapies, exemplified by Naidu’s own work.
 

Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this learning activity, you will be able t
o recognize the pathognomonic neuroimaging features of PKAN. To understand the basic biochemical approach to a candidate treatment for PKAN.
 

Audience:
Licensed physicians, psychologists, mental health professionals, psychology and medical associates, psychology trainees, residents, fellows, interns, and other interested medical and mental healthcare professionals.
