The EMTP 2026 Workshop in Annapolis, to be held September 20- 23 2026 will be the 3rd Joint Workshop on MR Phase, Magnetic Susceptibility and Electrical Properties Mapping. This event brings together scientists, clinicians and trainees who are interested in studying magnetic and electrical properties of biological tissues through Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).

These electro-magnetic tissue properties (EMTP) depend on tissue composition and organ function, and they can change in the presence of disease or disease-modifying therapies. As such, they hold strong potential as non-invasive, quantitative biomarkers for diagnosis and treatment monitoring. 

This workshop provides a collaborative space to advance the field through shared learning, discussion, and connection. Our goals include:

• Educating students and trainee member on all aspects of EMTP, from basic concepts to advanced MRI-based measurement techniques
• Connecting clinicians and researchers from diverse backgrounds to facilitate interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration
• Discussing recent advances and challenges in quantitative susceptibility mapping (QSM) and electrical properties tomography (EPT)
• Fostering the development and clinical translation of QSM and EPT technologies
