In partnership with Human Resources, the Maryland Center for Developmental Disabilities is excited to host the first virtual Women's Leadership Initiative event. Dr. Maria Trent will speak about her experiences in navigating work-life balance as a healthcare professional, seeking mentoring from colleagues, and positioning one's self for professional growth. Facilitated, small group, break-out sessions with Kennedy Krieger faculty, staff, and trainees will follow Dr. Trent's keynote address.
Dr. Trent is a pediatrician and adolescent medicine specialist on the faculty of the Johns Hopkins University Schools of Medicine, Nursing, and Public Health. A major focus of Dr. Trent's research and clinical interest has been on reducing adolescent and young adult sexual and reproductive health disparities. She is also committed to producing the next generation of adolescent health scientists and directs the NIH-funded Adolescent Reproductive Health Training Program within Johns Hopkins Medicine.
Registration is complimentary, but required. This event is open to the first 120 registrants.
