Autism: First Steps for Families and Caregivers is a strengths-focused training for families, caregivers, and loved ones of individuals with diagnosed or suspected autism. This training is open to families of individuals seen at Kennedy Krieger Institute and to community members who have a family member with a recent or suspected autism diagnosis. Attendees will receive information about Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and resources available to this community. Attendees will be asked to identify goals to accomplish during this training and to identify two to three “first steps” that they can take to support their loved one and themselves.
