Session Goals:

1. Promote awareness of the different cultural perspectives on disability and its implications for

practice, health and human rights.

2. Combat stereotypes, prejudices and harmful cultural practices relating to persons with disabilities

and their families.

3. Understand barrier and facilitators to treatment engagement and learn practical strategies for

targeting engagement early and throughout the treatment process.
