Lateral hypothalamic contributions to feeding and obesity

Within the brain, the lateral hypothalamic area is known to regulate reward processing and food intake; however, how the cells in this region and their ability to regulate feeding are impacted by obesity is unknown. Dr. Rossi will discuss how neurons within the lateral hypothalamic area regulate feeding and how they are adversely affected by diet-induced obesity.
