Despite good intentions, supervisory techniques and strategies to promote effective social work practice are often dismissed as being time consuming, “unrealistic” and impractical for application in today’s human services agencies. This interactive workshop faces the realities of navigating our diverse and emotionally charged work environments, seeking to offer practical tools to address challenges such as professional boundaries, trauma and ethical concerns. A non-traditional approach to workshop presentations will be delivered with the use of media clips and interactive activities.
The Kennedy Krieger Institute Department of Social Work is authorized by the Board of Social Work Examiners in Maryland to sponsor social work continuing education learning activities and maintains full responsibility for this program. This workshop qualifies for 3.0 Cat. I Continuing Education Units. For further information, contact the office at 443-923-2802.
