During this live webinar, participants will learn strategies to target core deficits of autism in toddlers. Parents and professionals will learn how to target engagement, language development, and play using evidence-based treatment techniques.

Audience:

Educators, school administrators, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, social workers, psychologists, pediatricians, and other allied healthcare professionals. Parents, family members, and community members are also welcome to register.

Objectives:

By the end of this training, attendees will:

  • Identify core deficits of autism in toddlers.
  • Identify a treatment strategy to target core deficits of autism in toddlers.
  • Identify activities that will allow parents to practice this strategy at home.

About the Speaker

Jennifer Sharpless, MS, CCC-SLP, is a certified speech-language pathologist at the Kennedy Krieger Institute Center for Autism in Baltimore, MD. Her work with children with autism spectrum disorders focuses on early identification and early intervention. In her research and clinical work, she has developed treatment models parent-training programs utilizing Naturalistic Developmental Behavioral Interventions.
