About this Event
**This event is open to the public, and is appropriate for intermediate licensed mental health professionals (social workers, licensed counselors, psychologists) who provide psychotherapy to adults who have experienced trauma.**
Trauma can change the way you think about yourself, the world, and your relationship with others. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is easily accessible, time-limited, and has proven effectiveness for a wide range of common presenting issues. Yet many clinicians are unsure how to best apply CBT techniques with those that have experienced trauma. With growing awareness of the prevalence and impact of trauma across populations, the need for trauma-informed CBT approaches is clear.
This three-hour live virtual interactive training is designed to meet this need for clinicians interested in utilizing CBT strategies in a person-centered, trauma-informed manner. It will include an interactive lecture with the use of small group practice to apply principles learned and questions and discussions throughout.
